Managing your time as an entrepreneur

As an entrepreneur, you know that time is one of your biggest assets. Yet many entrepreneurs find themselves struggling to juggle the different aspects of their business – from client meetings to creative work and researching trends – all while trying to keep a healthy work-life balance. If this sounds like you, it's important to take steps towards managing your time more effectively. In this blog post, we'll look at some of our favourite strategies for making the most out of the day as an entrepreneur so that you can reach new heights with your business.

Carve out time for you in your calendar

Break time and personal commitments are the first things I schedule into my calendar when I plan out my week. The week is planned out typically on the

Thursday or Friday before so I know exactly what I'm doing when I start work on Monday.

For those who meet me, you'll probably never tell the difference, that's because I choose not to let my current state of health affect how I show up to my work and for my clients.

My planning process

Planning out my work for the week when I'm in the thick of the work makes me distracted with X, Y, Z other things I need to do so I typically plan my next week when I'm out of the office. It takes away the noise and the shiny object syndrome for projects, should's and could's that can so easily fill a schedule to the brim.

I like to plan out the next week on a Thursday. If I walk into the "office" on Monday and I'm not vibing with my schedule, I rearrange it - it happens, I'm human too. What I don't rearrange are my break time and client meetings.

What I do in my 'off-time'

I take Fridays off. Sometimes I do self-development work, and sometimes I WORK ON the business but there are no meetings, phone calls or emails. Mostly I go to the beach. Some may think it’s boujie - for me, it’s vital because I'm recovering from chronic fatigue and concussion.
